Furniture Needed
We have a few churches that could use furnniture and other items for their churches. One is a new church plant and another is a church moving to its own building. A third church is in need of chairs. Capital City Baptist Church invites all area churches to the Journey to the Cross:

The Sierra Butte, Feather River, and Sacramento Associations want to invite you to a workshop directed at helping churches being planted or those in need of revitalization find their way as the church they were designed to be.  First Street Community Church (formerly First Baptist Church), Lincoln will host.

Churches – look for more information coming from CSBC.  Fill out their CTC Information Request either online or hard mail to Fresno before April 10th.  This will give them time to populate the spreadsheets and have them at the workshop.  Their goal is for every participant to walk out with a spreadsheet and an initial plan of work.  
Those attending the training will learn about:

  • God's call
  • Painting the Future Picture of Your Church
  • Developing a "Count the Cost" Plan for Your Church
  • Engaging Partners for Your Church
  • Issues that Can "Sink Your Ship"
  • What to Introduce to Your Church Today so the Church Can Touch the World

Those who would benefit from the training include:

  • Potential Church Planters
  • Existing Church Planters
  • Facilitators of Church Planting
  • Church Planting Congregations
  • Leaders of Chruches in Need of Revitalization

Easter in Carmichael Events - The Church on Cypress

  • Carmichael churches are gathering together this Easter for a Sunrise Service at Carmichael Park at 6:45 am 
  • All are welcome to join and then come enjoy breakfast at The Church on Cypress at 8-9:30 am. Worship service at The Church on Cypress is at 10 am Easter Sunday. 
  • In addition, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 5-9 (closed during the Passover meal and Good Friday service) they will have the Journey to the Cross interactive event
    (suitable for children and families).
  • Thursday, 3/29, Passover Meal (6:30 pm)  
  • Friday, 3/30-Good Friday service (6:30 pm)
  • Saturday, 3/31-Prayer Hall (5-9 pm).

Youth Leader Internship
Our church is seeking to fill a vacant position for Youth Leader Intern immediately, and we are reaching out to other churches and Christian organizations in the area with hopes of finding the right person (or couple) for the job.  We are a small-town conservative church, and our active Youth Group currently consists of 8 – 15 students at our Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday gatherings.  The position will require about 15 hours of work each week.  We will offer a salary of $750 - $1000, along with a generous budget for Youth activities.
