Thank you, Pastors and Churches!
Many of you have responded to our requests for information, and we appreciate your quick replies. In the next two weeks, we should have all the corrections and updates made. We will have a new directory available at the Annual Celebration, so be sure to pick up a few copies.

The "Meet Our Pastors" pages should be up in the next couple months. If we have not received your info, please send it as soon as you can. We're excited to be able to tell people more about each of your churches and pastors in SRBN.

If you haven't done this yet, we need three things from you:
1. Check your entry in last year's directory and let us know via email of any changes.
2. Check your entry on the SRBN map at sacbaptist.orgEmail any changes that need to be made.
3. Send us your pastor's and website's info so we can let people know about your church and pastor. These can also be emailed
You should have received a letter with more details. If you did not receive that letter, that means we don't have correct information for you. Please contact us today to let us know how to reach you through email and mail.

Is Your Older Adult Ministry Effective? by Charles Arn for CTPastors

In researching effective older adult ministries, I have found four ingredients that are usually common in such programs: 1) Service, 2) Outreach /Assimilation, 3) Christian Formation, and 4) Fellowship.
Below is a self-scoring inventory that will help you evaluate your senior adult ministry in each of these four areas. These items can also provide you with a "road map" to plan more effective ministry in the coming year. As you move the items below from the "No" column to the "Yes" column, you will experience marked growth and morale. Here are the instructions:

  1. Check either Yes or No after each of the following statements, based on the most accurate assessment of your present senior adult ministry.
  2. When you are finished, total the Yes items checked in each of the four areas. On the "Scoring Guide" at the end, circle the number on each continuum that represents the appropriate number of Yes items checked.
